Monocular Photogrammetric System for 3D Reconstruction of Welds in Turbid Water

Abstract This article presents a methodology for the 3D reconstruction of welds under water. A monocular measuring system, equipped with hemispherical (dome) port, and its are introduced. Furthermore, simple but effective approach alignment dome port entrance pupil lens is presented. The mechanically supported by presented shell. Turbidity experiments in laboratory quantify accuracy an underwater welded hollow weld comparison high-quality reference measurement. analyses show that system capable to reconstruct surface high quality using least-squares image matching. level ranges from 0.06 mm clear water 0.11 turbid featuring visibility ~ 140 mm.
